Financial or Welfare Lasting Powers of Attorney allow an appointed attorney control of your affairs when it is difficult for you to do so or if mentally you are unable to do so yourself.
People who make Wills know that, unfortunately, they will always come into effect eventually - after all death is one of the few certainties.
