NEW Estate Protection Trust Wills leaflet now avaiable
The New Estate Protection Trust Wills leaflet is now available on our web site at www.thewillcompany.com as a downloadable PDF and is about to go to print.
If you wanted an excuse to talk to clients about the effects of Tax and long term care fees on their estate then this is the document to use to get the message across. With many quotations from related bodies, facts and figures and being visual in nature, it should prompt all the right questions and press all the right buttons for your clients to be prompted into action. The idea is that unless they choose to be proactive using their Wills or Trusts, then the local authority or the Tax office could take a large part of their estate. There are two styles of Wills. A Basic Will and a Trust Will. By gathering the information about how your clients estates are made up, and finding out if they are concerned about Tax or the Local Authority taking a high proportion of their estate, between us we can come up with the best type of Will for that time. With free rewrites and your regular reviews they can always keep abreast of the latest changes and influences on their Estate Protection strategy. You tell us what they want. We choose for you the type of Will. It maybe a Nil Rate Band Will, a Lifetime Interest Will, or a type that protects the estate from unscrupulous relatives. Either way, you take your clients instructions and we decide how best to do that for your client. Your clients can either pay a Basic Will Fee or a Trust Will Fee. This saves you getting into a price war or complex discussion as all our Trust Wills cost £217 plus Vat for the two Wills. Solicitors charge from £500 to £1,000 for these, leaving you with good scope for earnings. Our new questionnaire coming out in May will reflect the information needed for us to be able to advise you, but in essence it is estate make up and client aspirations and fears that dictate the need. Often when you are taking a Fact Find with clients you begin with the end in mind anyway. This just helps focus the discussion as well as the decision making process. Please feel free to call if you wish to go through this further. Kind regards, Steve & Tracey OliverThe Will Company.
