The Will company was formed in 1995 by Steve and Tracey Oliver. Steve was a financial adviser at the time and found it difficult to find a Will writing service that met his needs for his clients which also understood Inheritance Tax Planning as well as good service standards to enable him to dovetail the Will instruction taking and drafting with his appointment time with his clients.

Tracey worked for a local firm of solicitors at the time and between them they decided to study how to draft Wills for his own clients and after 18 months they started to draft Wills. Other Financial adviser known to Steve requested he draft Wills for their clients and a business was born that today has over 300 advisers and adviser firms using them.

Steve stepped out of financial services after 15 years as an adviser, in June 2004, to run the Will Company as his main business. He heads the marketing and training side whilst Tracey is the main Will drafter.

The list of services available now, include Wills, IHT Wills, Severance of Tenancy, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Prepaid Funeral Plans, Probate services Advanced Directives and document storage.

Their key aim is to provide advisers with a service for drafting Wills and related documents, for their clients, in a timely manner with Free rewrites.
